SEVENTH ANNUAL 2024 SEASON OF BEACH YOGA ON PLUM ISLAND, MA
Free parking & directions
Complimentary parking is provided by our friends at Riptide Cafe (formerly the Beachcoma), 23 Plum Island Turnpike, Newbury, MA 01951, located approximately a two-minute walk from the beach. Day-long parking is not permitted. Please move your car after class to avoid being towed.

What to bring
You may like to practice either upon a large beach towel or a yoga mat. Please bring a water bottle; dress in layers and wear a sun hat. Ashley will provide sunscreen and bug spray, but it is recommended that you bring your own. Wear a swim suit underneath your yoga clothes if you fancy a post-class ocean dip!

Location on beach
Walk a couple of minutes from the Riptide Cafe directly toward the water. We meet either to the right or the left of the jetty depending upon the tide. Please arrive a few minutes early, especially if it is your first time. Look for the blue wooden wave sign in the sand!

Greenheads
Greenhead season on Plum Island typically runs from June to September, with peak numbers from mid-July to early August. These light brown biting flies with bright green eyes are most active from 10 AM to dusk. That said, we tend to have great luck in the mornings at 8 AM - it's usually too early for those buggers.
