EIGHTH ANNUAL SEASON
OF BEACH YOGA ON PLUM ISLAND, MA
Free parking & directions
Complimentary parking is generously provided by our friends at Riptide Cafe (formerly the Beachcoma), 23 Plum Island Boulevard, Newbury, MA 01951, located approximately a two-minute walk down from the beach. Please note that day-long parking is not permitted. Also, unless you have a Newbury resident sticker, please do not park at the public lot right on the beach to avoid being towed!

Weather
Class is weather-dependent. In the case of inclement weather, Ashley will send registered participants an email at least one hour prior to class. Your registration can either be held as a credit or refunded to you.

What to bring
Folks are generally more comfortable practicing on a larger beach towel as opposed to a yoga mat. Please bring a water bottle; dress in layers and wear a sun hat. Ashley will provide sunscreen and bug spray, but it is recommended that you also bring your own. Plan to wear a swim suit underneath your yoga clothes if you fancy a post-class ocean dip!

Location on beach
Walk a couple of minutes from the Riptide Cafe directly toward the water. We meet either to the right or the left of the jetty depending upon the tide. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early, especially if it is your first time. Look for the blue wooden wave sign in the sand!

Greenheads
These light brown biting flies with bright green eyes are most active from mid-July to early August from 10 AM to dusk. That said, we tend to have great luck in avoiding those buggers in the early morning.
